Below is a list of Fellowships that do not explicitly require US citizenship. Some may be open to applicants from any country, others are open to international students from selected countries, and some require applicants to be either US Permanent Residents or be in the process of seeking to remain in the US. See the eligibility requirements of each program. Fellowships staff are happy to assist you in applying to any of these opportunities.

Huntington Public Service Award

Emerson National Hunger Fellows
Deadline: 01/12/2025 (Tentative)The Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program participants gain field experience fighting hunger and poverty through placements in community based organizations across the country, and policy experience through placements in Washington, DC.
Coro Fellowship
Deadline: 01/13/2025 (Tentative)The Coro Fellows Program develops emerging leaders by providing hands-on experience for recent college graduates working with urban institutions in one of five US cities (Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, or St. Louis).
Urban Fellows Program
Deadline: 01/15/2025 (Tentative)The Urban Fellows Program is a nine-month fellowship in New York City that combines work in Mayoral offices and City agencies with volunteer service opportunities and a seminar series that explores current urban issues impacting public policy.
Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship

Deadline: 01/17/2025 (Tentative)The Kathryn Wasserman Davis 100 Projects for Peace program invites undergraduates (including graduating seniors) to design grassroots projects that they will implement during the summer, anywhere in the world. The projects judged to be the most promising and valuable will be funded at $10,000 each.
Humanity in Action Fellowship
Deadline: 02/04/2025 (Tentative)Fellows first participate in an intensive three-week summer educational program providing a country and context-specific curriculum (currently: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, the Netherlands, or Poland) that examines historical and contemporary challenges to human rights, pluralism and equality. Then, they embark on developing Action Projects in their own communities.
