Characterization of radioligands for studying neurodegeneration in the Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (ADRDs)
The goal of this project is to conduct the in vitro characterization of radioligands under development as potential PET radiotracers.
Nanogene Therapy For Hearing Loss and Head and Neck Cancer
Novel targeted nanohydrogel delivery for the treatment of inner ear diseases and molecular therapy for head and neck cancer.
Cancer Prevention and Care
Multiple projects focused on improving effectiveness and equity of cancer prevention and care.
Mitchell Lab - Overcoming Biological Barriers To Drug Delivery
Our research lies at the interface of biomaterials science, drug delivery, and cellular and molecular bioengineering to fundamentally understand and therapeutically target biological barriers.
Regulation Of T Follicular Helper Cell Differentiation
Our laboratory is interested in dissecting the complex biology of T follicular helper (Tfh) cells. Understanding (1) how Tfh differentiation is regulated and (2) by what means Tfh cells enable effective B cell responses are two major research goals that our group seeks to address by using a multidisciplinary approach that combines cellular and molecular immunology as well as transcriptomics.
Wildlife Health
Wildlife Futures Program is a new program and opportunities may be limited; extent of student involvement may vary due to Covid-related restrictions.
Hematopoietic Stem Cells and Leukemogenesis
Potential projects will involve using mouse and human experimental systems to study gene regulation and ribosome biogenesis in hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), and the process by which abnormalities in these processes affects normal HSC function and produces leukemia.
Orthopaedic Joint Development and Tissue Engineering
We have several projects in cell lineage tracing, stem cell biology, mechanobiology, joint development, and tissue repair.
