Human genetics in an evolutionary context
What makes us genetically different from each other? Join us to understand genetic variation in an evolutionary context
Research Opportunities on Neurodegeneration, Bioinformatics, and Molecular Biology
The Cheng lab at Penn Medicine welcomes undergraduate students from all levels to join us and work at the intersection of genomics, computation biology, and neuroscience.
CRISPR interference screens in human islet organoids
Grow and adapt functional islet organoids and conduct CRISPR interference screens
Immune Dysregulation in Pediatric Sepsis Patients
The Lindell Lab is focused on leveraging translational immunology to define “treatable traits” in pediatric sepsis patients which can inform novel approaches to precision immunomodulation.
Microcirculation video analysis
Role involves quantitative analysis of microcirculation videos to characterize the effect of changes in ECMO flows, ECMO oxygen delivery and pressors on microcirculatory function in a large animal E-CPR model.
Cell death, extracellular Biology and autoimmune diseases
We are studying cellular mechanisms of extracellular vesicle generation from different cell types, and formation of neutrophil extracellular traps, and their pathological involvement in autoimmune diseases.
The Lijun Zhou laboratory in Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics is seeking some undergrad students
The Lijun Zhou laboratory in Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics is seeking some undergrad students to join the lab, including work study and scientific research. This is a chemical biology lab for nucleic acid innovation and synthetic cells research, affiliated with Penn Institute for RNA Innovation. The undergraduate students will work closely with the PI and postdocs to build this new lab together, and contribute to innovative research in nucleic acid studies.
