Luce Scholars
Deadline: 09/15/2025In spite of its name, the Luce Scholars Program is experiential rather than academic in nature. At the heart of the enterprise are the internships that are arranged for each Scholar on the basis of their specific professional interests, background, qualifications, and experience. Luce is open to US citizens and permanent residents, and placements can be made in the following countries: Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Beinecke Scholarship
Deadline: 03/03/2026 (Tentative)Provides $35,000 toward graduate study to juniors eligible for need-based financial aid who are planning to pursue a research-focused master’s or doctoral degree in social sciences, humanities, or the arts, with a strong preference for Pell Grant recipients (Penn nomination required)

James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace
Deadline: 12/02/2025 (Tentative)The James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program offers up to 15 one-year internships at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Gaither Junior Fellows assist with research and editing for Carnegie senior scholars in areas including nuclear nonproliferation, foreign policy, democracy and governance, technology policy, economics, and regional studies.
