The Gelfman International Summer Fund has been established by Robert W. Gelfman (Wharton ’53) to create opportunities for personally enriching international research and/or service for students in the summer between their junior and senior year. The Fund is expected to cover two or three students each summer. Penn juniors from any of Penn’s undergraduate schools and in any discipline are eligible.

This pilot fellowship will allow STEM concentrators to work with Americana, a digitized program of the library's unique collection, under the supervision of the JCB digital team, contributing to their work on enhancing the platform’s capacities while creating their own project based on our digital assets

The Department of Commerce Internship Program will expose students to opportunities in the Federal Government and the potential to find passion in a career in public service through working with a political appointee in one of several DOC offices.

The NARA Voluntary Internship Program is an unpaid occupational experience through the National Archives designed to complement formal academic training in a wide range of disciplines.

The NIST Internship Program is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of education institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in agencies to explore Federal careers while still in school and while getting paid for the work performed.

The FBI Honors Internship Program is a full-time, 10-week paid summer internship for undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral college students and offers exposure to the world’s premiere law enforcement and intelligence agency while also serving as a pipeline for entry-level positions after graduation. 

The CIA offers several student programs that offer highly unique and rewarding student experiences working alongside experts in your field of study as you gain real-world experience within the Intelligence Community.

The Student Educational Employment Program is a government-wide program that allows students to participate in paid internships related to your area of interest at the U.S. Strategic Command.

Perry World House (PWH), the University of Pennsylvania’s hub for global policy research, offers an annual Undergraduate Essay Prize of $1,000 in recognition of outstanding student writing on how policy can be used to tackle global policy challenges.
