I am interested in areas of philosophy that investigate normativity, including ethical theory, epistemology, aesthetics, and the philosophies of mind and action.

Using experiments and computational models I study the processes underlying human judgment and decision making, and how to use knowledge of these processes to solve problems in marketing and to improve crowd wisdom.

Researching rare books in special collections and libraries; researching the history of computing in the 19th century; cataloguing old computers; collaborating with local libraries and institutions; building digital exhibits on the history of Eastern State Penitentiary.
