Gelfman International Summer Fund

The Gelfman International Summer Fund has been established by Robert W. Gelfman (Wharton ’53) to create opportunities for personally enriching international research and/or service for students in the summer between their junior and senior year. The Fund is expected to cover two or three students each summer. Penn juniors from any of Penn’s undergraduate schools and in any discipline are eligible.

CURF Summer Research Funding

Funding for independent research projects over the summer conducted by undergraduates who receive financial aid from Penn and have a family total income between $75,001 and $140,000 (as determined by SRFS).

Fund for Latino Scholarship

The Fund for Latino Scholarship through the American Political Science Association (APSA) is designed to encourage and support the recruitment, retention, and promotion of political scientists students and scholars who study and research Latina/o politics (especially students and tenure track junior faculty).

Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI)

The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship provides both undergraduate and graduates students through conducting research in one of 17 participating U.S. Department of Energy laboratories/facilities for summer or for a semester-long experience.

Paul and Kathleen Barthmaier Award

Financial support to assist with travel expenses related to intellectually enriching undergraduate research or fellowship experiences.

Frances Velay Fellowship

Funding for undergraduate women in science to conduct a summer research project with a Penn faculty.

Asian American Studies (ASAM) Undergraduate Research Fellowship

ASAM Undergraduate Research Fellowship is an interdisciplinary program that provides students with comprehensive academic training in archival research, methodology, and theory to enhance their critical thinking and writing skills.

The Melvin M. Goldberg Undergraduate Fellowship of $5000 for Research in Israel

The Goldberg Fellowship supports summer travel to perform supervised technical research at one of Israel's universities or research centers.

The Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter (LRSM) NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

The LRSM offers undergraduates interested in materials science and engineering research with Summer Research Fellowships through the National Science Foundation.
