Research Assistant - Textual Analysis

Prof. Lu Liu at the Wharton School and Prof. Julia Fonseca at Gies College of Business are seeking an undergraduate research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania to assist with textual analysis of a large dataset. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in programming, data processing, and natural language processing.

The Business of Borders

How do businesses participate in defining and implementing border security policy in the United States? This research project examines how private businesses define and influence United States national security threats, and specifically, US border policy and enforcement

Climate Decisions Lab

We meet regularly and conduct studies pertaining to climate change, sustainability and related matters. We produce reports from our work products. These reports are posted on the Web and/or submitted for refereed publication. The lab has been operating since 2000. Many students have found it useful for getting started post-Penn, either on the job or for graduate school. All levels of "technical" expertise welcome. Biomedical AI research

The position is focused on biomedical AI research. Key areas of interest include domain-specific foundation models, LLMs, agentic AI, and knowledge graphs.

Ai Chatbot Site Developer

A project for Wharton's Professor Schweitzer is in need of software developers.

The project is a web app for non-technical users to create custom chatbots for negotiations and other types of text based interactions. The chatbots will be used for research and education purposes, and are powered by LLMs like OpenAl's GPT models.
