CURF’s Fellowships Directory is a tool for Penn students and alumni to familiarize themselves with a broad range of fellowship opportunities. Keep in mind, it is not an exhaustive list. Fellowships staff are happy to assist you in applying for virtually any fellowship. Here is a pdf of a 4-year overview of some of the fellowships available to undergraduates.

Blossom Hill Fellowship

Funds innovative ideas to help children and youth anywhere in the world affected by conflict in the Middle East.

Emerson National Hunger Fellows

Deadline: 01/17/2025

The Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program participants gain field experience fighting hunger and poverty through placements in community based organizations across the country, and policy experience through placements in Washington, DC. 

Boren Graduate Fellowship

Deadline: 01/22/2025

Boren Fellowships, an initiative of the National Security Education Program, provide funding for US graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to US interests.  Boren Fellowships provide funding for overseas language study, academic study, research, an academic internship, or a combination of the above.

Udall Scholarship

Deadline: 01/28/2025

$7,000 scholarships to college sophomores and juniors engaged in leadership, public service, and commitment to EITHER 1) conservation and environmental science, policy, or activism OR 2) Native American or Alaska Native students pursuing health-related careers or policy issues in Indian country

NOAA Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship

Deadline: 01/31/2025

The Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship, administered by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), recognizes outstanding students studying in NOAA mission fields. Student scholars receive up to $9,500 per academic year to support their studies, as well as paid summer internship opportunities at NOAA facilities across the US.

Josephine de Karman Fellowship

Deadline: 01/31/2025

Provides support for the final year of a PhD for students enrolled at a university in California

Fulbright Summer Institutes

Deadline: 02/01/2025

These summer programs provide the opportunity for US undergraduates with at least two years of undergraduate study left to complete to come to the UK on a fully-funded three-to-four week program. 

President's Innovation Prize

Deadline: 02/02/2025

Provides a graduating Penn senior, or group of graduating seniors, $100,000 to envision and implement an innovative commercial venture that makes a positive difference in the world.

President's Engagement Prizes

Deadline: 02/02/2025 (Tentative)

Provides a graduating Penn senior, or group of graduating seniors, $100,000 to develop and implement a promising local, national, or global engagement project during the year after graduation.

Regeneron Prize

Deadline: 02/04/2025 (Tentative)

Recognizes and honors creativity and innovation by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the biomedical sciences.
